Jeep TJ Wrangler 1997-2004 Chevy V8 Conversion Packages

*These packages are only designed for the Gen 1 & Gen 2 GM Engines with the 168 tooth 14" Diameter Flywheel.

The installation of the bellhousings in these kits will require the transmission to be moved forward 2" to 2.5" so drive shaft modifications, 1" body lift, and 4" suspension lift required.

 Vehicles Equipped with Asin AX5 Five Speed Transmissions

• For use with stock Asin AX5 5 speed transmissions. This transmission option was available from 1997-2002 and was mated to the stock 2.5L 4 cylinder engine. The Asin AX5 is considered a light duty transmission and is not best suited for V8 conversions. However we have had many requests over the years to manufacture this kit, and have had some success with this transmission surviving the increased power of stock V8 engines. Please note that this conversion package is only compatible with Chevy V8 or 4.3 V6 engines that are equipped or have the ability to be equipped with the Chevrolet 168 tooth flywheel.
