Advance Adapters offers Saginaw steering conversion kits for pre 1971 CJ Jeeps under PN716806. A key component of our steering kit is the Power Steering Mounting Plate PN716838. The 716138 is designed to mount a Saginaw steering box to the front driver side frame rail. The mounting plate offers ample surface area for a complete perimeter weld onto your Jeep frame rail. The 716838 is manufactured of cast steel and can be easily welded by a qualified welder. The mounting plate is designed for use with all four of the power steering box mounting bolts. These bolts must be installed from the bracket side into the steering box. Some of the newer Chevy boxes come only with a 3 bolt mounting flange similar to manual steering boxes. PN716838 will still work on these boxes.
