This shift fork is designed to fit the Orion transfer case. It is slightly longer than the stock Toyota L/C fork to fit the Orion with the 4.0:1 gear set.
The newly designed fork now uses shift fork pads to help with the wear that was seen on stock forks over the years. We designed the fork with three pads to help the slider move easier. With this new design the fork required a bit more machining which now allows it to fit as a stock replacement fork. The center pad would need to be removed, however, the two-pad system allows you to upgrade to a new fork and a pad design for less wear.
We use a different detent system than stock, if you are replacing the stock fork in a stock case you will also need a new ball, spring and retaining nut. ( O60050 , O60051 , O60052 ). The notch on the fork connects to the shifter cover the same as the stock one.
