By utilizing a sturdy steel guard bar, Winters Performance makes it mechanically impossible to accidentally shift into reverse from any forward gear.
The Winters gated shifter is a completely assembled console-style shifter that uses a five-foot cable and includes all the mounting hardware. The high-grade cable provides clean crisp shifts into the correct gear you are looking for without that springy feel. Mount the shifter to any flat surface — by rotating the cable guide, you can achieve the layout that's most comfortable for how you drive.
A Winters Sidewinder shifter can be installed on any GM 4L60E automatic transmission for street, strip or off-road use. We offer all gating options for GM shifters with the exception of the Power Glide. Note the reverse shifter gates must have a transmission with a reverse valve body. The shifter offers a neutral safety lockout switch that can be added to your purchase at an additional cost.
