What is a Flywheel?

There are multiple essential components that go into the everyday performance of your manual transmission. One of the important parts is the engine flywheel. The flywheel is the starting location where the car engine rotates once the vehicle’s ignition turns the engine on. It not only creates the energy to balance the engine for optimal performance, but it also stores mechanical energy. Because of its constant use, a vehicle’s flywheel is vulnerable to wear and tear, and may need to be replaced.

Advance Adapters has multiple parts and components available, including the LQ4 6.0 engine flywheel for sale. This flywheel has an early P/P bolt pattern that is compatible with Chevy LS Series Gen III and IV.

Important Note

Please note that there There are some Gen III blocks that do not have the recessed crank. Our 712500M kit will not work on these blocks. One block that we know of is the 6.0L with cast iron heads and the 4.8 engines coupled only to a stock manual transmission in 1999 to 2003. This flywheel is made to work on these blocks.
