This new short Dana 300 retainer replaces the original aluminum Dana 300 retainer and is used in conjunction with kit 50-3021 as an optional accessory. This new retainer we have eliminated the oil seal surface to reduce overall length. However, when using this new Dana 300 retainer it is now mandatory to use a sealed bearing on the Dana 300 input shaft. The bearing is included with kit p/n 50-3021, Or available by itself as part number 716308
