The New Jeep JL and JT hit the market with a new power train and new design of the NP241. They still offer the transfer case with two low ratios 4.0:1 and 2.72:1; however, the bolt pattern was completely changed. The transfer case has the adapter system that couples to the transmission as an front part or half of the transfer case.
The days of swapping out the transfer case took a big change. We do offer the ability to upgrade from the new NP241 to an Atlas. This is a needed upgrade since the Atlas gives you some options that the stock T/C doesn't.
As we worked through the first JL and JT applications, Jeep started to release additional drivetrains for these vehicles:
- 392 Hemi with a full time transfer case.
- The Hybrid 4XE & The Diesel.
Along with these drivetrains Dodge also hit the market with several of their own 8HP70/75 and 8HP95. Long story short, most of these drivetrains all have different transfer case patterns and splines. We now also offer adapters for most of these stock Jeeps as well as stock Dodge patterns.
