Advance Adapter
Our Advance Adapter 50-6300 will allow you to adapt a GM TH350 3 speed automatic transmission to the Jeep Dana 300 transfer case. The adapter housing is 3.625” in length and is manufactured from 356-T6 heat treated aluminum alloy. We also supply a mounting provision on the bottom of the housing to bolt-on our heavy duty transmission mount (716021). The adapter kit includes an adapter housing, new TH350 output shaft, 27 x 23 spline spud shaft, bearing, snap rings, gasket, o-ring, fastening hardware and adapter instructions.
Note: The 4WD TH350 stock output shafts are getting hard to come by, which has increased their price. Unfortunately, we have had to adjust the kit pricing. Check with your local transmission shop to see if they have a shaft in stock for less than $120.00. If so, you can order this kit minus the output shaft. P/N 50-6304
Note: This kit is designed to fit Jeep New Process / NVG models 231, 242, 247, 249 & 2410R transfer cases.
Transfer case
The adapter assembly will fit the Jeep Dana 300. This transfer case was used in the 1980-’86 CJ-7 series. All 300s use a 23 spline female input shaft. Some of the adapters we manufacture include a new Dana 300 input with a different input spline. Therefore, if you obtain a Dana 300 from a salvage yard, please verify the input spline.
The adapter assembly will fit the Jeep NP231 transfer case with a 23 spline input shaft. This input shaft protrudes from the face of the transfer case 2.12”. Introduced in 1988, the Jeep NP231 is a part-time transfer case became the standard for XJ and YJ models. It was also used in six cylinder ZJ models through 1995. Chain driven with a 2.72:1 low range, it’s reliable even with more than stock horsepower applied.
