GM Allison 1000 Series (MW7) Transmissions
The Allison was produced as a 5 speed until the 2006 Gen 4 version that added the 6th gear, making it a double overdrive. The 6 speed also added a manual gear selection.
The Allison is a Six speed, rear-wheel-drive, electronically controlled, automatic, double overdrive transmission with torque converter clutch and park pawl.
