Advance Adapter
The Ford AOD adapter to the Toyota truck transfer case is 10.00” in length in. And the Adapter material is 356 T6 heat treated aluminum alloy. The adapter kit includes a two adapter housing, new late model AOD output shaft w/23 spline, 23 x 21 spline coupler, cover plate, bearing, snap rings, gaskets, seal, fastening hardware and adapter instructions.
Transfer Case
The adapter assembly fits the Toyota Truck 21 spline gear driven transfer cases. This transfer case has a male 21 spline input shaft and can also be identified by 7 bolts attaching the tailhousing to the transfer case.

Transmission
This adapter kit is designed for exclusive use with the second generation Ford AOD automatic transmission. This 4 speed, overdrive transmission was introduced during the 1988-91 model years. It is very important that the new main shaft furnished is compared to the original main shaft being replaced.
Options
The AODE (4R70W) 4 speed automatic transmission was used starting in 1991 & later. The adapter housing will fit the AODE, however, the output shaft is different in reference to the oiling. Our kits for the late AOD can be used on the AODE provided that you obtain a few more components
